Alright people, this is the last time you’ll have to hear about my 30th birthday….I promise!

Despite the fact that horrible men online attempted to ruin birthday makeup for us last year (I hate it here on planet earth!), my birthday continues to hold a special place in my heart as my favorite beauty-related event of the year. I think birthday makeup is so especially exciting, because unlike Christmas or New Year’s, there’s no theme you have to stick to, nor does it matter what you’re doing (you can wear the makeup to a dive bar, a drive-thru, or an ultra fancy restaurant alike), it’s simply an excuse to wear your all-time favorite beauty products, no questions asked.

This year I really loved the makeup I did, so I thought I’d do a quick product breakdown for you guys and share some of my favorite skin-prep and makeup products of the moment.
